Art Song Along is a fun and interactive introduction to the world of art song featuring songs in English and Spanish. An art song is a vocal music composition, usually written for one voice with piano accompaniment. An art song is most often a musical setting of an independent poem or text. Kids will learn about composers, classical music, collaboration, and the inspiration behind art songs. Art Song Along is more than just a concert. Performers will lead kids through interactive activities to help them better understand and enjoy art song.
Geared towards ages 5-12, but appropriate for all ages.
